Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has announced that his administration will pay N70,000 naira as the new minimum Wage to workers of the state.
Governor Makinde made the announcement in an address during the 2024 teachers’Day celebration in Ibadan.
He said the executive will go into negotiation with labour leaders as from next week but gave assurance that his administration will pay 70,000 naira as minimum Wage.
Governor Makinde also announced that the he has extended the wage award being currently enjoyed by workers for three months until the negotiation on the consequential adjustment is concluded
