Ib’North Re-run: We Will Not Support Imposition – Oyo APC Peace Advocates Insists

Oyo APC Peace Advocates have emphasized that the Group will not support imposition in whatever form during the process of selecting a candidate that will represent Oyo APC for Ibadan North Federal Constituency By-election.

The Group, through a press release jointly signed by its co-conveners, Chief Wale Ohu and Prince Niran Adeyoju SDM insists that Party candidates for elective positions must emerge through a generally acceptable, free and fair primary.

The Group said that the failure of Oyo APC in the 2023 gubernatorial and House of Assembly election was brought about by imposition of Party officials and candidates for elective positions.

The Group said that it has been committed to preaching the message of peace, cohesion and observations of Party rules across geo-political zones and that Oyo APC have willingly embraced such progressive ideal.

They maintained that it will be counter-productive for anyone to encourage a system that led to the failures of 2023.
