Igangan, the ancient town of Ibarapa North Local Government area of Oyo State received an unprecedented mammoth of crowd on Saturday 3 May, 2025 as political bigwigs and dignitaries from within and outside the country gathered at A.U.D Primary School to celebrate the burial of Pa Emmanuel Idowu who died at the age of 87 years.

Pa Idowu, a respected patriarch in the community was known for his unwavering commitment to the welfare and development of Igangan whose his passing has left a significant void in the hearts of many residents.

The ceremony was marked by a blend of heartfelt tributes, reflecting the deep esteem in which pa Idowu was held during his lifetime.
The presence of political leaders underscored the strong bonds of kinship and shared commitment to the progress of Igangan and the church as a whole.
Speaking with newsmen, Hon. Bisi Akande who is the Vice Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government highlighted the unity among the political leaders in the region, transcending party lines in honoring the legacy of a man who dedicated his life to the service of God and humankind.
The Political Head of Ibarapa North-West Local Government Development Area(LCDA), Igangan stressed that the support and attendance of political leaders and prominent individuals from far and near places at the event serve as a testament to the enduring spirit of unity in the area.
In the same vein, Hon. Bisi Akande while appreciating the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government, Hon. Lateef Adebare Lawal Akorede for his contributions to the success of the ceremony, enjoined residents of Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency to support Hon.(Dr) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju beyond 2027 for the sustenance of good governance.
