The Oyo State House of Assembly member representing Ibadan South East 1, Hon. Modiu Opeyemi Akande, has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to everyone who stood by him during the trying times of his mother’s passing.
Alhaja Kudirat Titilayo Akande died on the 25th of November, 2024 at the age of 80.
Hon. Akande acknowledged the support and sympathies he received from colleagues, friends, and well-wishers in a thank you message he sent to the Press.
He appreciated the numerous condolences, visits, and kind gestures that brought comfort and solace to him and his family during their time of grief.
The lawmaker described the outpouring of love and support as a testament to the strong bonds of solidarity and friendship that exist among lawmakers and the community.
He was particularly grateful for the support of his colleagues in the Oyo State House of Assembly, who had earlier sympathized with him over his mother’s demise.
Hon. Akande also appreciated the leadership of the Oyo State House of Assembly, particularly the Speaker, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, for their support and condolences.
In his message, Hon. Akande prayed for long life for everyone who stood by him during his trying times. He also prayed for the repose of his mother’s soul, asking that she be granted eternal rest in Al-jannah Firdaus.
