Life in the 21st Century is marked by rapid changes and advancements; it’s easy to get swept away by the currents of fast-paced living. However, amidst the chaos, it’s quite important to achieve a balance by prioritizing self-care and well-being.
Should healthy living be by choice or coercion? I will rather tow the path of choice…The path of healthy living is in no way different from our day to day decisions. Intentionality is the key word and should not be downplayed.
Fortunately, it is that time of the year, when we tick the boxes on a row to guide us as the year rolls by. Health among other things can be considered a measure of living. Would you rather put premium on it or let it take the back stage?
In this column, let us come on board together, as we explore the exciting “pillars” of Lifestyle Medicine ranging from increased physical activity, proper nutrition, weight management, avoidance of tobacco products, and sleep and stress reduction, which all significantly impact both quality of life and likelihood of developing disease.
