Gov. Ayedatiwa To Reabsorb Akeredolu’s Cabinet Members

Some former cabinet members of the Ondo State executive council are to be reabsorbed into the new cabinet.

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa dropped the hint during the swearing in ceremony of the new deputy governor , Dr Olayide Adelami.

The governor said those who had demonstrated capacity in the last cabinet would be taken back into his new team soon.

He justified the cabinet reshuffle as necessary to inject fresh ideas to pilot the affairs of the state with an assurance that his administration would do more in the provision of dividends of democracy to all.

Governor Aiyedatiwa lauded the qualities of the new deputy governor describing him as a professional, philanthropist and charged him to be impartial, transparent, accountable

Earlier, the chief judge of the state , Justice Olusegun Odusola administered the oath of office on the new Deputy Governor.

In an acceptance speech , Dr Adelami pledged total loyalty to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and use his wealth of experience for the overall development of Ondo state and asked for support for the administration.

The colourful ceremony held at the International Event Centre, the dome in Akure the state capital was witnessed by families , kinsmen and associates of the new deputy governor including party faithful.

Some of the dignitaries included Ondo APC chairman ,Mr Ade Adetimehin, the speaker Ondo state house of assembly Mr Olamide Oladiji, secretary to the state government , Mr Tayo Oluwatuyi, members of the state assembly, former deputy governor , Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo, Olowo of Owo , Oba Ajibade Ogunoye former chief of staff to late governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu Chief Olugbenga Ale, Ambassador Olusola Iji, heads of security agencies, Muslim and Christian clerics among others.
