Gov. Adeleke Approves Conversion of 230 Temporary Staff Of University of Ilesa.

Temporary staff of the University of Ilesa, Osun state could not contain their joy as the Vice Chancellor, Professor Taiwo Asaolu announced the confirmation of their appointment as bonafide and permanent staff .
Professor Asaolu who spoke at a staff meeting with the staff of the university also revealed that 12 of the senior lecturers of the university have been been upgraded to the status of associate professors.
He said the associate professors whose promotions took effect from January 2023, would be the first set of the home grown professors of the university by 2026.
According to the VC, the State governor, senator Ademola Adeleke has also approved and released fund for accreditation of additional 35 courses for the university by the National University commission to make 67 courses in all, noting that the management is fully ready for the resource verification by professional bodies for the approval of the courses
Speaking on discipline, the Don emphasised that a hundred-level student had just been removed from the institution for a cult-related offence and that the administration would not tolerate tardiness, truancy, extortion, sexual harassment, theft, or cultism.
According to Professor Asaolu, the university’s security architecture is unmatched by other postsecondary educational establishments in the nation because the military is on duty around-the-clock to protect the learning environment.
He applauded the Governing Council, which is chaired by Mr. Gbenga Onigbogi, for ensuring the university’s academic and infrastructure expansion at a rapid pace in the shortest amount of time feasible.
Some members of the academic and nonacademic staff, particularly those whose temporary appointments were changed to permanent ones, praised the Governor, the Governing Council, and the management team led by Professor Asaolu for the enormous advancements made thus far.
They emphasised that the ongoing renovation of the university road network is more evidence that the former college of education, which was upgraded to a university in 2002, had not had it this good since 2005.
