The Junior Chamber International, Nigeria, Ibadan Elite has held it’s 6th Convention and Investiture with pomp and ceremony at the University of Ibadan Conference Centre, Ibadan.
The ceremony which featured award presentation to outstanding members and sponsors also officially installed JCIN Ambassador Lanre Alawode As the 2023 president, JCI, Ibadan Elite.
JCIN Ambassador Lanre Alawode took over the mantle of leadership from the 2022 Ibadan Elite President, JC Goodness Morakinyo who concluded his one year tenure on Sunday 27th November, 2022.
Shortly before handing over to the new chapter president, outgoing president, JC Goodness Morakinyo who gave his scorecard, highlighted training of employed graduates and job seekers, organize business master class and training on Waste for wealth to mark the 2022 world clean up day as some of the achievements of his tenure.
JC Goodness Morakinyo appreciated his board of directors, members and non members who had supported his administration in different ways, urging them to do more for JCI Ibadan Elite.
He said his administration was able to induct 28 new members which represent 54% increase from previous years
Meanwhile the new 2023 JCI Ibadan Elite, JCIN Ambassador Lanre Alawode promised a greater synergy among members and people oriented initiative.
Theme speaker on the occassion and immediate past Senate Chair, JCI Nigeria, jCI Senator Nneka Itabor called for quality leadership among people in the position of authority and inspire the followers to contribute immensely to national development.
In a goodwill message, national president, JCI Sen. Olawale Bakare Congratulated JCI Ibadan Elite for successful year and commended the outgoing president for embarking on programme that impacted on young people in Oyo state.
Earlier in a welcome address, Chairperson of the 2022 convention and investiture, JC Ibunkunoluwa Otesile the event was also to strengthen old bonds and establish new ties among members.
The ceremony which had in attendance JCIN Senators, former National President, Ayo Abolusodun, Local organization presidents, Special Adviser to governor Seyi Makinde on Security, Fatai Owoseni, friends and guests from all walks of life.
Meanwhile, the board of directors for the 2023 year was also commissioned by the new president.
