Eid El Maolud: Fed. Lawmaker, Odidiomo, Felicitates Muslims, Calls For Peaceful Coexistence Among Nigerians

Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide, the lawmaker representing Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West federal constituency of Oyo State, has felicitated Muslims on the celebration of Ed il Maolud, marking the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.

In a statement released by his Media office, signed by Tolu Mustapha, his Special Adviser, Media and Public Affairs, Hon. Olajide urged Muslims to use the occasion to reflect on the teachings of the Holy Prophet and strive for peace, love, and harmony in their daily lives.

He also called on Nigerians to embrace the values of compassion, forgiveness and tolerance, which are essential for building a united and prosperous nation.

According to Olajide, “The celebration of Ed il Maolud is a significant occasion for Muslims to come together and celebrate the life and legacy of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.”

“As we mark this special day, I urge all Muslims to rededicate themselves to the teachings of the Holy Prophet and strive for excellence in all aspects of life,” he said.

Hon. Olajide also used the opportunity to call for peaceful coexistence among Nigerians, regardless of their religious beliefs or ethnic backgrounds.

“As we celebrate Ed il Maolud, let us remember that we are all children of God and deserving of love, respect and dignity, he pleaded.

The lawmaker, who is also a ranking member of the National Assembly, emphasized the importance of religious tolerance and understanding in building a harmonious society, urging Nigerians to use the occasion to promote peace, love and harmony among themselves, regardless of their religious beliefs or ethnic background and wished all Muslims a happy Ed il Maolud celebration and prayed for peace, prosperity, and unity in Nigeria.
