The Nigeria Union of Journalists, FRCN Ibadan Chapel has felicitated with members of the fourth estate of the realm on the occasion of this year’s EID-EL-FITRI celebration.
This is contained in a statement released by the chairman, NUJ FRCN Ibadan, Mr Oluwakayode Banjo.
The statement reads in part:
“My heart rejoices with the adherents on the successful completion of Ramadan Fast. I salute your commitment during the spiritual exercise wherein you uphold virtues of purity and rededication of faith in almighty Allah as exemplified by the holy prophet Mohammed (S.A.W).
“You were not deterred by the hardship experience of cash crunch and fuel scarcity that plagued the onset of the holy month but remained tenacious in self-denial and rigorous supplications to draw Allah’s attention to the challenges of Nigerians.”
“I pray the Almighty Allah to bestow upon you the blessings accruable to the spiritual sacrifice you have made and your dedication to the pen pushing profession despite the physical effect of fasting in the holy month of Ramadan.
“As you celebrate the EID-EL-FITRI, I urge you to pray for the success of the new administration for outstanding performance as we tackle the daunting challenges confronting members and the union as a whole.
“I enjoin all members not to lose faith in the union but hope for a virile and more prosperous NUJ FRCN Ibadan Chapel of our dream as we the executives strive to bring back the lost members and restore our dear union to its enviable height.”
