A chief magistrate court sitting in Oyo town has sentenced one Shittu Fatai to two years imprisonment for allegedly breaking into two shops owned by two women at Agunpopo area of the town
The twenty six years old man was said to have committed the offence with others still at large on the 26th June 2025.

According to prosecutor, Fola Osegbade, items stolen from the shops include gas cookers and other valuable items worth millions of naira.

Fatai and others still at large also allegedly stole the cash sum of #250,000 from the two shops.
One of the shops was said to be owned by one Saidat Mohammed while the other belong to Olanrele Rasheedat.
The 2 year sentence was pronounced by trial magistrate Giwa Babalola as a deterrent to others who might want to engage in similar act.
