Coronation: Sen. Lanlehin Describes Olubadan Designate’s Emergence As Blessing

Senator Olufemi Lanlehin (Solan) has felicitated the Olubadan-designate, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, describing his emergence as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, a blessing.

Lanlehin, in a release by his Media Assistant, Dr Damola Adeoye in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, noted that the ascension of the foremost industrialist to the reverred stool of Ibadan will no doubt elevate the city to higher heights, given the wealth of experience he brings on board.

Lanlehin, who represented Oyo South Senatorial District between 2011 and 2015, believes that with Oba Olakulehin’s diverse backgrounds as an industrialist, politician, teacher, military officer and distinguished professional, Ibadan has gotten herself a leader with deep insights and massive experiences which will come handy in navigating solutions to the complex needs of a cosmopolitan city such as Ibadan.

“Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, Balogun of Ibadanland, and by the will of the Almighty, our next Olubadan, is a man of many parts, an experience I believe will be to the benefit of Ibadanland,” Lanlehin said.

Lanlehin who felicitated Oba Olakulehin on his 89th birthday, as well as the scheduled dedication of the new ultramodern Olubadan Palace, to be occupied first by him, prayed that the Almighty will grant Oba Olakulehin many more years in strength, vitality and vigour, so that his lofty plans and programmes for the ancient city will come to fruition.

While congratulating him on his emergence as the 43rd Olubadan as well as on his scheduled coronation on Friday, 12 July 2024, Lanlehin, the Ekarun Bamofin of Ibadanland, prayed that the Almighty will guard and guide Oba Olakulehin in the onerous task of leading one of the largest growing cities in Sub-Saharan Africa.
