Bye-Election In Yewa-North Council Holds July 14

The Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) has set July Fourteenth as the new date for the forthcoming Bye-Election into joga/Ibooro Ward 5, Yewa North Local Government Council area in order to pave way for the Ileya Celebration.
OGSIEC Chairman, Mr. Babatunde Osibodu made this known  at a stakeholders’ meeting with Ward leaders in Yewa North LG,  representatives of different political parties and other relevant stakeholders, at the Council Secretariat in Ayetoro.
According to The Ogsiec Chairman, The bye election in line with the constitution was necessitated after the demise of the former Councillor in Joga Ibooro Ward 5,  Mr. Sunday Isiaka.
He appealed to all stakeholders, traditional leaders, party leaders, ward leaders, the electorate, security agencies, as well as the media, to cooperate with OGSIEC in the  coming bye-election, so as to have a hitch free process, warning that anyone found  distorting the process will face the wrath of  the law.
In a remark, the Awujako of Ijako land, His Royal highness, Oba (Rev.) Matthew Ewedairo promised that the people of the council would cooperate with the Commission in ensuring a smooth process of the bye election.
