Osun state governor senator Ademola Adeleke and the candidate of the Accord in the just concluded Osun 2026 governorship election has been declared winner by the Independent national electoral commission, INEC.
Governor Adeleke pooled a total of 511067 votes to defeat his close rival, the All Progressives Congress candidate, Mr Bola Oyebamji who pooled 444815 votes.

The local governments won by governor Adeleke are :Ede- North, Ejigbo, Iwo, Egbedore, Boluwaduro, , Ede- South, Ife- North, Ilesa -West, , Ife -East, Ife- Central, Oriade , Ifelodun ,Orolu , Ayedaade, Ila, ,.Odo -otin,. ifedayo, osogbo and Ayedire local government.areas.

APC candidate, mr Bola Oyebamji.won in Irewole, Isokan, Olorun, Atakumosa East,. atakumosa.west, Ilesa East, Boripe, irepodun and Obokun local governments.
The candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Dr Najeem Salam came third with 17180 votes.
The results from all the 30 local government area in the state had earlier been declared by collation officers for each local governments before the final declaration was made by the retuning .officer, Professor Joshua Ogunwale of the federal university, Oye Ekiti.
