Bodija Explosion: Oyo Govt. Expresses Readiness To Begin Disbursement Of Relief Funds
Oyo state government has expressed its readiness to commence the disbursement of relief funds to victims of last year’s Bodija explosion for their proper rehabilitation.
Governor Seyi Makinde who was represented by the Deputy Governor Chief Bayo Lawal expressed the commitment when he received a report from the committee on management and disbursement of Bodija explosion relief fund at the Agodi, Secretariat, Ibadan.

The governor assured that the report of the committee would be quickly looked into and there would be speedy implementation of the recommendations from the committee, so that victims of the Bodija explosion would be relieved
In a remark, President of the Bodija Estate Residents Association, Pastor Muyiwa Bamgbose who is also a member of the committee assured that based on their recommendations, the relief fund would substantially help the victims to mitigate the consequences of their losses.
Earlier, while presenting the report, a member of the committee and Special Adviser to the Governor on security, Compol Fatai Owoseni explained that the report comprised 4 volumes, capturing deliberations and recommendations, report of trilateral meetings, breakdown of specific amount to support specific persons and pictorial representations of damages of the Bodija explosion.
