Birthday: Media Aide, Akinwale Bodija Commends Principal, Hon. Oyekunle’s Selfless, People-Centred Leadership
The Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DON), Akinwale Bodija, has celebrated his principal on the occasion of his birthday anniversary, describing him as a selfless leader whose commitment to the welfare of the people continues to define his leadership.
In a heartfelt birthday felicitation, Bodija expressed gratitude to Almighty God for the gift of life, preservation and the opportunity to witness another remarkable year in the life of the federal lawmaker, whose leadership journey has been characterised by resilience, sacrifice and an unwavering dedication to public service.

He commended Hon. Oyekunle for consistently demonstrating strength in the face of challenges, often choosing to bear personal burdens and withstand difficult moments to ensure that those around him remain encouraged, supported and reassured.

According to Bodija, the celebrant’s ability to remain steadfast while prioritising the peace, happiness and well-being of others speaks volumes about his character and the depth of his commitment to leadership.
He noted that DON’s approach to public service goes beyond occupying an elective office, stressing that his principal has continued to demonstrate that the true essence of leadership lies in putting the people first and making their welfare the central consideration in every decision and action.
“Beyond the title, the political victories and the responsibilities of public office is a man who understands that leadership is a responsibility to serve, a duty to sacrifice and a commitment to the people. Your willingness to remain strong, even when the weight of responsibility is heavy, so that others can remain hopeful and assured, is a quality worthy of recognition and emulation,” Bodija said.
He further praised the lawmaker’s commitment to the development of Ibadan North Federal Constituency, noting that his dedication to the people reflects a genuine understanding of the expectations that come with the mandate entrusted to him.
Bodija added that DON’s leadership philosophy offers valuable lessons for public office holders across the country, urging them to emulate his people-centred approach by placing the needs of their constituents above personal interests, political considerations and the pursuit of recognition.
He emphasised that public service becomes meaningful when leaders are willing to make sacrifices, remain accessible to the people and demonstrate compassion in the discharge of their responsibilities.
While praying for God’s continued protection, wisdom, strength and sound health for the celebrant, Bodija expressed optimism that the years ahead would bring greater accomplishments, renewed opportunities to serve and more remarkable contributions to the development of Ibadan North and the nation at large.
He concluded by describing Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DON) as a leader whose greatest strength lies not merely in his ability to lead, but in his willingness to carry the weight of leadership while ensuring that the people remain at the heart of his service.
“Happy birthday to my principal, mentor and a leader whose commitment to the people continues to inspire. May Almighty God preserve you, strengthen you for the journey ahead and grant you many more years of impactful service. May your sacrifices yield lasting rewards, and may the people you have chosen to serve continue to find hope, reassurance and progress in your leadership,” Bodija added.
