Beneficiaries Applaud Folasade Tinubu-Ojo’s Education Scholarship Initiative
Over five thousand students who have benefitted from the education scholarship of the first daughter of His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president of the federal republic of Nigeria, have expressed gratitude to the philanthropist for her initiative and commitment.
The first daughter, who is also the Iyaloja General of Nigeria, Chief Mrs. Folasade Tinubu-Ojo was rated exceptional, a wonderful philanthropist and lover of youths at the grassroots.
The students who were basically children of the masses from Lagos Nigeria, enjoyed the gesture under the Dr Folasade Tinubu-Ojo’s scholarship Foundation to be extended to other indigent youth in other parts of the country .
The beneficiaries were admitted into seven tertiary institutions within and outside Nigeria, they showed gratitude and enthusiasm.
Our correspondent reports that the beneficiaries accessed the programme through the Foreign links campus Ile-ife, coordinated by Dr. Fola Akinosun..
While acknowledging the importance of the opportunity given to them by the philanthropic gesture of Chief Mrs Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, the students said the opportunity will no doubt give a leverage and make them compete favorably with their counterparts in other developed countries.
They said the platform given to them to acquire academic qualifications has shown Iyaloja General’s ingenuity to empower children of the masses, especially the market traders across the country.
Some of them who could not hide their joy for the privilege, hinted that the Education scholarship has transformed their mental, social and behavioral pattern which will no doubt come to play in their decision making.
“Chief Mrs Folasade Tinubu Ojo has done well for us, for her to sponsor about five thousand of us under her scholarship foundation, that means she meant well for the downtrodden.”
