The Bimbo Adekanmbi Support for Excellence (BASE), in conjunction with the Reset Nigeria Movement, has announced plans to hold a Freedom Walk in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on October 1, 2026.
According to the organisers, the event, scheduled to coincide with Nigeria’s Independence Day, is being organised in honour of Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, the APM governorship candidate, Bimbo Adekanmbi, and his running mate, Engr. Muftau Open Salawu.

The organisers said the walk is expected to attract supporters, young people, community stakeholders and other participants who share the values being promoted by the organising groups.

They said the specific route for the walk would be announced in due course, urging interested participants and partners to anticipate further details ahead of the event.

The organisers said further information regarding the starting point, route, time and other arrangements would be communicated as preparations for the October 1 event progress.
