Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has awarded five-year scholarship programmes to five students of Abiola Ajimobi Technical University, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to supporting education and empowering young people in the local government.
The scholarship presentation took place at the Ido Local Government Secretariat, where the Chairman was represented by the Secretary of the Local Government, Alhaji Kamorudeen Gbadamosi.
Also present at the occasion were the Head of Local Government Administration, Alhaji Aminu Sarafadeen, and the Director of Administration and General Services, Mr. Adelu Victor, alongside the Deputy Director of Administration and General Services.
The beneficiaries attended the presentation with members of their families, who expressed their appreciation to the Ido Local Government administration for the gesture.
The scholarship programme, valued at over ₦11 million per student, will support each beneficiary throughout the five years duration of their programme at Abiola Ajimobi Technical University.
Speaking on behalf of the Chairman, the Secretary of the Local Government, Alhaji Kamorudeen Gbadamosi, reiterated the administration’s commitment to investing in education and creating opportunities for young people to achieve their academic and career aspirations.
The administration described education as a key instrument for sustainable development and emphasized its determination to support deserving students within the local government whenever resources permit.
The beneficiaries and their families thanked the Chairman, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, and the entire Ido Local Government administration for the scholarship, describing it as a significant investment in the future of the students.
The Ido Local Government Secretary Alhaji Kamorudeen Gbadamosi further encouraged the beneficiaries to remain focused on their studies, uphold discipline and make the most of the opportunity provided to them.
