Member representing Surulere Ogo Oluwa federal constituency,Mr.Segun Odebunmi has described the emergence of Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu as the presidential flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the next general elections as the best for the party.
He stated this while reacting to the outcome of the Special APC Convention which produced Tinubu as the Party’s candidate.
Mr.Odebunmi who described Tinubu as a stabilizer noted that his emergence spelt more fortunes for the party.
The lawmaker who explained that rifts following party primaries held earlier had created cracks within the party ,saying Tinubu had all it takes to reunite the party and settle all misunderstandings.
” This is the best thing that can happen to us.If Tinubu had not won,I don’t know what could have happened to the party.I can tell you that some aggrieved members who had left the party have started thinking of returning and those who were planning to leave would no longer leave.Tinubu had dreamt and worked for this for so long and he has invested in people across the country” he said.
Odebunmi also noted that Tinubu was a good match for the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party,expressing confidence that he would be the eventual winner come 2023.
He however congratulated Ahmed Tinubu for the feat achieved .
