Contributing to the debate, the Leader of the House, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin, reiterated the need for the proposed amendment, noting that it would strengthen the existing law and ensure that it achieves its intended objectives and purposes.

He observed that the proposed amendment would help address the persistent conflicts between farmers and herders, particularly in agrarian communities across the state, while promoting peaceful coexistence among residents.

Similarly, the Deputy Leader of the House, Hon. Samson Olasunkanmi, who represents Egbeda State Constituency, commended the Speaker for the initiative, describing the proposed amendment as a timely legislative intervention that could contribute significantly to maintaining peace and security across the state.
