The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo today inspected the ongoing construction work on the Elebu-Oritamerin-Idi Ahun Road to assess the progress of work and ensure adherence to quality standards.
The Council boss, who was accompanied by supervisory councilors, secretary to the local government, Hon. Kamorudeen Gbadamosi, hon. Azeez Yahya, the chief of staff, Alhaji Aminu sarafadeen the HLGA of the council, the Director of Admin and general services Mr. Adelu Victor, engineer Ayobade kazeem, and community leaders, expressed satisfaction with the level of work done so far, while charging the contractor to maintain quality and hasten completion.
Speaking during the inspection, Hon. Adeojo said the Elebu-Oritamerin-Idi Ahun Road is of strategic importance to the local government as it connects several communities, eases movement of residents and farm produce, and will boost socio-economic activities when completed.
“This road is very dear to our administration because of its importance to our people. We are determined to deliver a durable and standard road that will bring lasting relief to motorists and residents. We will not compromise on quality,” the Chairman stated.
He assured that his administration will continue to prioritize infrastructural development across all Wards 1-10 in line with the Omituntun 2.0 sustainable development agenda of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde. He also used the avenue to appreciate the governor for lending his helping hands to Ido LG inorder to make the road construction a reality.
Residents of Elebu, Oritamerin and Idi-Ahun who trooped out to welcome the Chairman commended him for his commitment to grassroots development and prayed for the success of his administration.
