Holy Trinity Grammar School (HTGS), Old Ife Road, Ibadan, is set to celebrate its Diamond Jubilee and Annual General Meeting (AGM) with a three-day programme of activities scheduled for September 25–27, 2026.
The National HTGS Old Students’ Association said the celebration will bring together old students, students, teachers, friends and well-wishers to commemorate six decades of the institution’s enduring legacy in academic excellence, character formation and leadership development.
The organisers described the milestone as a celebration of 60 years of building quality minds, strong character and ethical leaders who have made significant contributions to Nigeria and beyond.
In an invitation to members of the school community, the association encouraged old students to reconnect with classmates, relive cherished memories and renew their commitment to the continued development of their alma mater.
«“This Diamond Jubilee and AGM promise to be a memorable reunion filled with celebration, networking, thanksgiving and the renewal of our commitment to the growth of our alma mater,” the organisers stated.»
The festivities will commence on Friday, September 25, with activities at the school’s Assembly Ground and School Hall beginning at 10:00 a.m.
The opening day will feature interactions between students and teachers, presentation of anniversary gifts to students and teachers and the commissioning of a laboratory.
Other activities scheduled for the day include a special Jumu’ah service at the mosque near the school, novelty football matches and a gala night.
The second day, Saturday, September 26, will take place at Bashmoor Event Centre, opposite Holy Trinity Grammar School, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
A major highlight of the day will be a lecture titled “HTGS at 60: Building Quality Minds, Modern Infrastructure and Ethical Leadership for Nigeria’s Future,” to be delivered by Justice Mathias Olusegun Agboola.
The programme will also feature the Annual General Meeting, reception and anniversary celebrations, with alumni from different generations expected to attend at the HTGS field.
The celebrations will conclude on Sunday, September 27, with a Thanksgiving Service at Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Agbala Itura, Old Ife Road, Ibadan.
