Adeojo Convenes Stakeholders’ Meeting Over Security Concerns Affecting Farmers In Ido

The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo has convened a stakeholders meeting involving farmers, security agencies, traditional leaders and local government officials at the Ido Local Government Secretariat Hall to deliberate on the growing security concerns affecting farming communities within the council.


The chairman provided an opportunity for farmers to express their concerns and share opinions on addressing the security challenges confronting them.

He reaffirmed his administration commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the local government.

He further urged residents, farmers and community leaders to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious or unusual activities to the appropriate authorities.

Responding to the issues raised, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Omi Apata explained the legal procedure guiding law enforcement agencies.

She also educated participants on the proper steps farmers should take to ensure their cases are adequately documented and investigated.

Speaking on behalf of farmers, AFAN Chairman Ido local government, Mr. Abdullahi Adeniji commended the Hon. Sheriff Adeojo for giving them rare privilege to be part of the crucial meeting.

He promised on behalf of farmers that his members will make use of knowledge gained from this meeting and it will have positive impacts on Ido local government in general.

Among those present were key local government officials including the Local Government Secretary, Alhaji Kamorudeen Gbadamosi;the Supervisory Councillor for Agric, Hon. Saka Kabir; the Head of Local Government Administration, Alhaji Sarafadeen Aminu; the Director of Administration and General Services, Mr. Victor Adelu; Baale Agba of Ido, Alhaji Bliaminu Apanpa; Chairman of the Sustainable Farmers of Nigeria (SUFAN) Mr. Oyeleso Olugbenga and several other stakeholders from farming communities across the local government.
