The lawmaker representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Folajimi Oyekunle, has officially defected to the Allied Peoples’ Movement, marking a significant political development in Oyo State ahead of the 2027 political season.

This was made known to journalists by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Akinwale Bodija, shortly after serving lawmakers who recently resigned from the People’s Democratic Party paid a strategic visit to the governorship candidate backed by the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde.

Speaking with newsmen, Bodija stated that he could authoritatively confirm that Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle, popularly known as DON, is now a fully registered member of the Allied People’s Movement (APM).

According to him, the federal lawmaker’s decision followed extensive consultations with political associates, supporters, and stakeholders across Ibadan North Federal Constituency and beyond.

“Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DON) is now officially and fully registered as a member of the Allied People’s Movement (APM). This is a strategic political movement aimed at sustaining progressive and people-oriented representation for the good people of Ibadan North Federal Constituency,” Bodija said.
