Oyo Speaker, Ogundoyin, Ibarapa East Council Chairman, Arogundade Pay Homage To Eleruwa Of Eruwa
Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt (Hon) Adebo Edward Ogundoyin on Thursday 8 May, 2025 embarked on inspection of laudable projects done by the present administration led by Gov. Seyi Makinde.
Rt. (Hon) Ogundoyin, who was accompanied by the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa East Local Government, Hon Kazeem Owolabi Arogundade and other prominent politicians across the council inspected the recent completion of damaged portion of Ipin River along Old Ibadan- Eruwa road.
The lawmaker also paid an homage to Eleruwa of Eruwa,Oba Samuel Adebayo Adegbola. Hon.Ogundoyin commended the good people of Eruwa town for their peaceful coexistence and urged them to sustain it.
Responding, the Eleruwa of Eruwa land,Oba Samuel Adebayo Adegbola described Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State as one of the performing governors so far in the history of Oyo State.
The traditional ruler charged the Oyo State Speaker, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin and the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa East Local Government, Hon. Kazeem Owolabi Arogundade to prioritize the progress of Ibarapa East Local Government.
The legislator also visited Lanlate General hospital where he walked round the hospital. Hon. Ogundoyin promised to donate a huge amount of money to upgrade both Eruwa and Lanlate hospitals. The lawmaker instructed the hospital stakeholders to submit their budget for proper action.
In the same vein, Rt Hon. Ogundoyin also inspected the ongoing projects at the Permanent Site of Oyo State College of Education, Lanlate and he used the opportunity to hold a pertinent meeting of about an hour with the principal officers of the institution.
The Eruwa-born lawmaker after the provost of the College, Mr Adegboyega Johnson Oladipo reeled out some challenges facing the institution such as library, office and among others.
In his response, the Speaker of Oyo State said the present administration led by Governor Seyi Makinde would not toy with education, noting that all their requests had been noted for urgent action.
The lawmaker rounded off the tour at the Eruwa Police Area Command where security matters in Ibarapa generally were discussed.
Hon. Ogundoyin said the security of lives and property in Ibarapa was his priority and assured the Area Commander of adequate support to ease their job.
