National Orientation Agency (NOA) Oyo State Directorate on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to the Commandant, Oyo State Western Security Network codenamed, Amotekun at its Headquarters in Moniya, Akinyele Local Government Area.
The visit was aimed to facilitate a strong partnership between the two agencies to enhance security in the state.

Key highlights of the visit included Security Consciousness among residents of the state.

The NOA state director, Dr. Olukemi Afolayan, highlighted the agency’s activities on security consciousness in all 33 Local Government Areas of the state, utilizing a non-kinetic approach and mother tongue as a means of communication.
The NOA team commended Amotekun’s efforts at the grassroots level and emphasized the need for a formal synergy and partnership for effective security awareness campaigns and enhanced safer communities.
Responding, Col. Olayinka Olayanju (Rtd), State Commandant of Amotekun, appreciated NOA’s repositioning since the appointment of Mallam Lanre Issa -Onilu as the Director General and highlighted the effectiveness of community policing in curbing security challenges in the state.
The NOA State Director later presented a copy of the National Identity Project, table national flags, face caps on security consciousness, and copies of the explainer to the Commandant.
