Maundy Thursday: Ven. Olusegun Faleye Cautions Christians Against Taking Communion Unworthily
The Vicar St Anne’s Church,Molete, Ibadan, The Venerable Olusegun Faleye has admonished Christians not to take communion if they still live in sins.
The Vicar gave the admonition at the Maudy Thursday Service held in the church.
The Venerable Faleye explained that taking communion while still a sinner is like taking a poison.
He called on Christians to endeavour to be upright in all their dealings so that the crucifixion of Jesus Christ would not be in vain.
He said that Jesus Christ began his substitutionary payment for our sins on a Maundy Thursday.
Highlights of the service was the washing of the feet of twelve members of the church representing the twelve disciples and celebration of the Holy Communion while the congregation also adorn white outfits
