The Oyo State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of three members of staff of the Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria, CRIN, Idi Ayunre, Ibadan.
A statement signed by the Nigeria police Force, Oyo state command Public Relations Officer, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade says the victims were reportedly kidnapped while inspecting crops on a farm within the institute’s premises.
DSP Ayanlade, says the Command has launched a manhunt for the perpetrators, while efforts are ongoing to rescue the victims safely and bring those responsible to justice.
The Command has assured the public that all necessary measures are being taken to secure the victims’ release.
