A member of the National Assembly representing Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency, Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin has vowed to continue to execute projects within his constituency despite his constitutional role as a lawmaker to enact laws.
The house of representatives member disclosed this in Ibadan while speaking with newsarena.ng shortly after the presentation of laptops to sixty youths within and outside his constituency which he facilitated.
The lawmaker also give the beneficiaries a cash of fifty thousand naira each.
The two term lawmaker said he has facilitated many major projects to his constituency including a one billion naira road construction, installation of solar powered streetlights to communities, provision of mobile clinic, building of classrooms and women empowerment to complement the motions and bills raised on the floor of the house.
Hon Agboworin said his constitutional role was to make laws, but promised to continue to collaborate with agencies and individuals to bring and implement direct impact projects to his Constituents.
He said “I will continue to execute projects despite my constitutional role as lawmaker”
He appealed to the beneficiaries to count themselves lucky from the many people waiting to benefit from the gesture, noting that his next digital literacy empowerment will capture more beneficiaries.
He also urged them to make judicious use of the laptops and use them in a legal way.
In her address, representative of the National Productivity Centre, Abuja, Mrs Salawu Afolake counselled the beneficiaries to see the empowerment as a means of tackling unemployment and poverty among the youths
Our correspondent reports that an ICT resource person, Dr. Chukwuemeka Joshua trained the beneficiaries on application usage and ICT technicalities.
Recall that Hon Abass Adigun Agboworin few months ago presented new deep freezers to physically challenged people in his constituency, making it one of the many laudable empowerment programmes to his constituency.
