80,000 Minimum Wage: NLC Commends Makinde, Says Prioritizing Welfare Of Workers Will Put Oyo Ahead Of Others
Chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC Oyo state, Mr Kayode Martins has applauded governor Seyi Makinde for approving eighty thousand naira as minimum wage for workers in the state.
Mr Martins stated this during a telephone interview in reaction to the recent approval for upward review of the minimum wage from 70,000 to 80,000 by governor Makinde.
The NLC chairman said prioritizing the welfare of workers would create a work force that would make the state to be enviable among its peers in Nigeria and ahead of others.
Mr Martins said by the time the agreement is signed, some agitations would still be presented to the governor for better performance of the workers in the state
He appreciated the workers in the state for their doggedness and advised them to not relent in discharging their duties to the state as to whom much is given much is expected
