2024: Oyo Lawmaker, Waheed “Ilumoka” Felicitates Gov. Makinde, Constituents, Stakeholders
The member representing Oluyole State constituency of Oyo State in the House of Assembly Hon. Waheed Akintayo has felicitated the Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde over the successful end of the year, 2023.
Hon. Waheed Akintayo also extended his felicitations to all residents of his constituents, religious leaders, traditional rulers, community leaders and all the political leaders in Oluyole Local govt area.
Ilumoka Presenter, as fondly called, who stated this in a New Year message, called on the people of Oluyole local area to go into 2024 with renewed hope and optimism for better days ahead.
He stressed that 2023 had gone with its plethora of challenges and unsettling uncertainties but in the new year, it is necessary for the citizens to shun all forms of vices even as he harped on the need for unity and harmony among all.
According to the lawmaker, “though the outgone year 2023 was challenging, complicated by the removal of fuel subsidy by the federal government, I am upbeat that the new year 2024 would be a year of recovery.”
Hon. Akintayo who is the Chairman House Committee on Information, Media, Public Affairs and ICT called on Nigerians especially the people of Oyo State to continue to pray for all the leaders and live with one another with love, unity and harmony.
As a Lawmaker in the House of Assembly, I want to use the opportunity of new year celebration to enjoin the good people of Oyo State not to relent in their unwavering support and prayers for Governor Seyi Makinde. With your collective prayers, the governor will fulfill and implement all the lofty agendas he has in moving the State towards the enviable heights that everyone of us will be proud of.
I equally wants to assure my constituents that I will remain steadfast in my legislative duties and contribute immensely to the overall development of Oyo State. Together, let us embrace the opportunities that 2024 presents and work hand in hand towards a brighter future.” Hon Akintayo enthused.
