If not for the timely arrival of government fire fighters, a residential building at Cele community in Oyo West local government area would have been completely razed down by fire following a cooking gas cylinder explosion.
However, the late night incident which reportedly occurred after occupants of the building situated on a large compound did not record any casualty.
Meanwhile, an elderly occupant of the burnt house, Mama Odekanyin and some residents on sympathy visit want relevant agencies to ensure safety standards are not compromised on home appliances to avert disasters of this nature.
