A Nollywood actor and Chief Executive Officer, MILIKI D’Entertainment, Jide Adegbite popularly known as “Miliki Daddy” has described the performance of the song “Were la fi nwo were” by Ibadan base fuji musician, Alhaji Adebisi Taiye Currency at the coronation of the 44th Olubadan Of Ibadan as careless and uncalled for.
Alhaji Adebisi Taiye Currency while performing at the coronation ceremony of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Senator Rashidi Ladoja, Arusa 1, sang “were la fi now were” which is translated as “You use madness to cure madness”
Adegbite “Miliki Daddy” said such performance was an act of over excitement that had undermined the sacredness of the olubadan royal event.
He, however, advised Alhaji Taiye Currency to do a damage control video apologizing to the royal family of Olubadan, President Bola Tinubu, top dignitaries and the entire well cultured Ibadan people present at the historical occasion as soon as possible.
The Nollywood actor, Compere and event planner also apologize to the Olubadan of Ibadan, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the entire good people of Ibadan on behalf of Alhaji Taiye Currency.
He said “As Man who appreciates culture and got inheritance of his cultural values from a reputable family here in Ibadan, the performance of the song (Were la fi nwo were) sang by Ibadan base Musician Alhaji Adebisi Taiye Currency Apesin at the Coronation of the 44th Olubadan Of Ibadan land HIs Imperial Majesty Oba Senator Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja (ARUSA 1) is a careless act, due to over excitement which really Undermined the Sacredness of the Royal Event.
“My candid opinion and advise to Taiye Currency is to get A Damage Control video, if possible A single Track to be released to Apologize to the Royal Family of Olubadan, President Bola Tinubu, Top Dignitaries and the entire well cultured Ibadan people present at the Historical occasion on September 26th day of 2025 ASAP.
Miliki Daddy further stated that “We entertainers should be Role models to people. People read us more than books and are always expectant of our mistakes.
He appealed to all entertainers to endeavour to always stay calm and composed each time talents are being displayed.
