Wife of the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Titi Abubakar has eulogized the effort of women in electioneering and urged Southwest women to support her husband to become the nation’s president.
Titi Atiku stated this in Ibadan for a southwest female town hall meeting, which was held at Theophilus Oladipupo Hall, Opposite UCH, Ibadan, Oyo state capital.
In her speech, Titi Atiku explained her husband’s position on restructuring, women empowerment, jobs for young women, care for the aged, security, food prices and food security, agriculture, poverty, and a host of others.
While assuring massive votes for Atiku in Southwest, the wife of Osun state governor, Mrs. Dupe Adeleke charged women to put more efforts into mobilizing party faithful to boost the chances of Atiku Abubakar and all other candidates who are contesting on the platform of the PDP.
In her remark, a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party from Oyo state, Alhaja Mukezo urged women to vote PDP candidates, said ” A vote for Atiku is a vote for lower food prices and improved living conditions.
A vote for Atiku is a vote against Poverty, Joblessness, and Empty promises.
She thereafter pleaded with Mrs Abubakar not to forget women when she gets to Aso Rock, she explained that every promise have been made to women but the actualization should not be hard.
Mukezo also remembered Titi Abubabar and how women were been utilized during her husband’s administration as Vice President and narrated how uneducated women were collecting salaries.
Among the southwest PDP party, women that welcomed Titi Atiku were, Senator Biodun Olujimi, Oloye Jumoke Akinjide, Yeye Dupe Adeleke Sanni, Yeye Nike Adebutu, Alhaja Modinat Arisekola, Alhaja Mukezo, and others.
Her entourage includes Princess Funmi Lamiye ( Special Assistant on Southwest Matters to his excellency Atiku Abubakar ), Mrs. Adeboye, Yeye Apata, Mrs. Jemibewon, Alhaja Bakare, Yeye Olusoga, Hajia Aisha Ibrahim, Abdul-Rasazaa Garba, Chief Mrs. Ogunremi, Hon. Biodun Dada, Amb. Jenifa Igoh, Mrs. Nestyn, Mrs. Bolarinwa, Princess Boade Oyewale, Alhaja Faosat Sarumi, Adebayo, Alhaja Hauwa, and others.
Meanwhile, Oyo state first lady, Engineer (Mrs.) Tamunominini Olufunke Makinde, the Peoples Democratic Party, South-West Women Leader, Alhaja Bose Adedibu, Oyo state PDP women leader, Alhaji Wulemat Ibitoye, including party BOT member, Alhaja Mutiat Ladoja were all not available to welcome the presidential candidate’s wife, Chief Mrs. Atiku Aminat Abubakar in Ibadan, Oyo state.
