To The People Of Ibadan North Federal Constituency || By Wasiu Jimoh Ola

Dear Fellow Constituents, greetings to you all!

I will like to first commend us for our patriotism, support and vibrancy before, during and after past elections in Ibadan North Federal constituency, and by extension, Oyo state.

We have shown keen interest at making sure Ibadan North Federal constituency is respected and reckoned with in the political landscape of Oyo state with the way we gave maximum support for late Hon. Olaide Akinremi Jagaban, member of the House of representatives who represented the constituency until his death.

May the soul of the great leader continue to rest in peace.

Akinremi’s unwavering dedication to improving the lives of the people of Ibadan North Fed. Constituency has set a standard of leadership that we must strive to uphold and improve upon.

No doubt, late Hon Olaide Akinremi Jagaban made his name written in the sand of time, he was compassionate, dogged, generous and committed to the development of the his constituency, Oyo state and Nigeria in general.

As we reflect on the legacy of Prince Olaide Akinremi Jagaban, a leader who truly cared for our community, we find ourselves at a pivotal moment

Unfortunately, the big vacuum created by his death, especially in the political space must be filled, not just by anyone but by a competent, compassionate, experienced and Godly personality.

In this spirit, a security expert and a positive thinker, Adeshina Sahid Aderonmu, popularly known as Symbol, has stepped forward gallantly to continue the noble work late Hon. Olaide Akinremi Jagaban unfortunately could not complete.

Dear fellow constituents, I write to you today as a concerned constituent who has the privilege of witnessing Mr. Aderonmu’s dedication and compassion firsthand.

Aderonmu’s support for women, youths, and all members of our community is not just a promise, it’s a proven commitment. Out of so many that he had done, I can recall during the 2015 election how Mr. Aderonmu intervened and assisted in calming the fears of some youths in Gbaremu/Ijokodo, ensuring they received motorcycles and other much-needed support. Believe me, only a few politicians have the gift, spirit and capacity to intervene in such manner.

The situation could have degenerated into a full crisis among the youth who felt they were sidelined, marginalized and neglected to enjoy dividend of democracy. This is just one of many instances where his actions have made a tangible difference in people’s lives.

Also recall that, Aderonmu was instrumental to the reopening of Bodija Market when the market men and women had issues that led to the burning of a police station within the market. He is always ready to help all.

As a seasoned security expert, this Ibadan boy has demonstrated exceptional leadership and managerial skills. On so many occasions, he mediated between students and the government to calm situations that had the potential of degenerating into crises.

As at that time, his intervention was outside his purview, but his passion for youth and peaceful coexistence among the citizens, more importantly, his intelligence, is second to none.

Having served as Deputy Chief Detail to the former Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Raji Fashola, and Chief Detail to the late Governor of Oyo State, Senator Isiaq Abiola Ajimobi, his understanding of leadership and good governance is rooted in accessibility, always ensuring that those he leads can reach him.

His ability to connect and identify with students, youths, women and the elderly understanding their needs and aspirations, has endeared him to many. It is this connection and understanding that gives me, and many others, confidence in his capacity to lead.

I believe that, with Mr. Adesina Aderonmu, A.K.A Symbol at the helm of affairs, Ibadan North will continue to thrive. His vision for our community, built on the pillars of transparency, responsiveness, empathy, inclusivity, progress, and good governance, is one that we can all rally behind.

I am convinced that he will not let us down, and I trust in his ability to move our constituency forward if given a chance

With sincere concern and hope,

Wasiu Jimoh Ola
