Stakeholders In Ife Fed. Constituency Reverse Vote Of No Confidence Passed On Osun Dep. Governor
Stakeholders in Ife Federal Constituency of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Osun State has withdrawn the Vote of No Confidence recently passed on the deputy governor, Prince Kola Adewusi.

The decision was made during a meeting attended by the board of trustees members, Former national secretary, Wale Oladipo, the deputy governor, the senatorial leader, Akin Famuyide, the executives of the the district, all the commissioners and appointees from the district, all the council chairmen and House of Assembly members, in Ile-Ife.

Addressing newsmen after the peace parley, the state PDP chairman, Mr. Sunday Bisi, explained that the meeting was aimed at fostering unity among the stakeholders in Ife Federal constituency and affirmed that the vote of no confidence earlier passed on Prince Adewusi and others has been withdrawn.

Mr. Bisi who explained that issues of such may arise in politics said the PDP has its internal mechanism of resolving crisis.
Mr. Bisi explains “We are in a society, it is not possible for us to live without having this kind of thing once in a while; but we thank God that PDP has internal mechanism through which we resolve all issues and disputes, we thank God that we have done it here today in Ile-Ife and peace now reigns, the storm is over and peace will reign in supreme in Ife PDP and Osun PDP in general.”
In his response, the deputy governor, Prince Kola Adewusi maintained that the issue was a storm in the tea cup which has been settled.
Prince Adewusi states “Let me just tell you, men of the press, that bygone is bygone. We have forgotten everything that happened in the past, and we have turned over a new leaf. What happened here today is to tell all of you that PDP is one. There is no division between us, and in politics, you cannot rule out what has happened in the past.”
Speaking on what led to the crisis, the Senatorial leader for the Osun East Central district, Mr. Akindele Famuyide said one of the decampees was seen parading and was moving around the leaders and they decided to reject the act.
Mr. Famuyide said the constituency now has great confidence in the Deputy Governor and other leaders.
Recall that party leaders and members in Ife Federal Constituency recently passed a vote of no confidence on the Deputy Governor, Prince Adewusi and some other leaders over an alleged interaction with some members of the Opposition Party in the State.
