Soun Inaugurates Ex Presidential Aide, 14 Others As Ogbomoso Cultural Carnival Organizing C’ttee
The Soun of Ogbomoso Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege 111 has inaugurated a fifteen man committee to organize a benefiting culture and tourism event to showcase culture and tradition of Ogbomoso.
The carnival aimed at promoting domestic tourism and attracting tourists to the ancient city is scheduled to have its maiden edition in December 2024.
Inaugurating the committee at the palace, the paramount ruler of Ogbomosoland said the committee was saddled with the responsibility of planning and execute a comprehensive events and activities that would contribute to the socio economic development, promoting cultural enrichment as well as attracting local and foreign tourists to the historical city.
The monarch added that the development was part of his 25 years development plan which aimed at transforming Ogbomosoland into a model city.
The committee headed by Prince Williams Adeleye, a former Special Assistant to the President on Media also have Mr Segun Odebunmi, Bashorun Akinwole Akinwale, Prince Dotun Oyelade, Oyo state commissioner of Information and among other.
