The Federal Road Safety Corps, Oyo state command says four persons have been confirmed dead while one person is seriously injured in an accident that occurred at about eight O Clock on Tuesday morning, at Soka Area, Ibadan axis of Lagos-Ibadan Expressway
The sector commander, Mrs. Rosemary Alo, stated this in an interview with Radio Nigeria.
Mrs Alo explained that the injured person had been taken to an hospital while the bodies of the deceased, a male and three female had been deposited at Ring Road hospital, Adeoyo morgue
The accident according to Mrs Alo, involved seven vehicles, two Nissan Micra taxi, two trucks, one tanker and two Toyota Camry
According to witnesses, all the vehicles involved in the accident were coming from the Iwo Road axis of Ibadan.
As at the time of this report, the accident scene is being managed by emergency responders, who are working to rescue those trapped in the wreckage and provide medical attention to the injured.
