National Orientation Agency, Oyo state has called on muslims to exhibit the sacrifices and promise kept by Prophet Ibrahim, sacrificing his only son, Sulaiman as a gift to Allah for answering his prayers.
NOA state director Mr Kayode Odedokun, made the call in a statement made available to the press and signed by the head, Media and publicity of the Agency, Alhaji Isiaka Kehinde.
The NOA boss who wish Muslims and the entire citizens in Oyo State and across the country a successful celebration urged them to celebrate Id-el adha moderately.
Mr Odedokun called on all Muslims and every Nigerians to continue the good deeds and eschew every acts that are ignoble as exemplified by the Prophet Ibrahim.
He said “The season provides an opportunity to focus, reflect, forgive, patience and resilience”.
Mr Odedokun lays emphasis that “religion plays important role in the formation and transformation of the social entities as it lays down specific moral guidelines and enjoins virtues which if adhered to will promote human flourishing”.
