Preparation In Top Gear As Oyo State Intending Pilgrims Leave Nigeria For Mecca On Friday.

Intending pilgrims from Oyo State to Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia have began to receive traveling bags and other materials needed for the holy trip in Preparations for this year’s hajj.

The distribution exercise taking place at Hajj Camp Olodo Ibadan was presided by the Chairman State Pilgrims Welfare Board Muslim Wing, Professor Sayed H.A Malik.

The intending pilgrims were also given Ankara textile to be worn as uniform on their way to the Holy Land.

Professor Malik admonished them to adhere strictly to the rules and regulations of Hajj exercise.

Meanwhile, the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde is expected to bid the intending pilgrims from the state farewell on Wednesday 15th June 2022.

The farewell ceremony for those embarking on Hajj exercise from the state will hold at the State Hajj Camp in Olodo Ibadan.

The first batch of the state contingent will depart Ibadan on Thursday 16th June 2022 for Lagos, where they will be airlifted to Saudi Arabia at 8am on Friday 17th June 2022.

Professor Malik enjoined all the intending pilgrims from the state to make themselves available at the State Hajj Camp by Thursday morning.

About 779 Muslim Faithfuls are embarking on the Islamic Holy Pilgrimage from the state.
