PHOTOS: Tolat Unique College, Ilora Organizes Career Day As Senior Army Officers Counsel Students On Responsibilities Of Military
A senior military officer from the Education Corps of the 2 Division, Nigerian Army, Ibadan, Lt Colonel Olutayo Ogunranti has admonished students to remain focus and choose the right and legal path to success at all times.
Lt. Colonel Ogunranti gave the admonition at Tolat Unique College, Oke-afos, Ilora while giving a career talk at the college’s annual career day programme held on Wednesday, 19th February, 2025.
While enlightening the students on the career opportunities in the three Nigeria major armed forces, Lt Colonel Ogunranti highlighted the duties and responsibilities of Nigerian Army to include protecting the territorial integrity from terrorists and invasion in any form and bearing arms to safeguard the country at all times in various ways.
He said students who pick interest in joining the military must be courageous and disciplined and be ready to the people.
Earlier in a welcome address, the Proprietor of the school, Mr Adetunji Ogunsola, who spoke on the topic “Your Future and Fulfilling Purpose”, charged the students that no matter the level of challenges they should continually press forward in all their endeavors.
Also speaking, Lt. Oluwatosin Akinola said the members of the public can join the military through Nigerian Defense Academy, Short Service Course and Direct Short Service Course.
In their separate career talks, Pastor O.F. Ayangbola who spoke on the need to choose pastoral vocation and Mrs. Omojola Oluwaseun who spoke on various ways a nurse contribute to the progress of the society, charged the students on obedience, patience and dedication to their studies.
