The heavy storm that accompanied Tuesday rainfall in Ibadan, Oyo State capital has caused havoc in some parts of the state capital, blowing off rooftops of some buildings and destroying property.
The rain, which started at about 6pm in the evening came with a heavy breeze which fell electric poles, trees and blew off roofs of houses.
Speaking with newsarena.ng on the havoc the rain caused in Akuro, Akinyele local Government Area of the State ,the baale Akuro, Basorun Bamidele Ajayi called on oyo State Government, Akinyele Local Government Chairman ,Hon Toareed Adedigba, and NEMA to come to their aid as property destroyed worth millions of naira.
The chairman Akuro community landlords development Association ,Mr Lukman Saliu said structures that were damaged include building, mosque, churches, roads, among others, called for government intervention
Reacting to the incident ,chairman Akinyele local Government, Mr Taoreed Adedigba assured resident of prompts intervention for safety of lives and propertiesproperties

Meanwhile, Residents of ARIYIBI Area in Apete, in Ido local government, Oyo state are having hard times to reach their homes and access outside the area.
This was as a result of deplorable condition of AYEGUN-APETE-OLOMO-MONIYA ROAD which usually flooded when it rains.
Also at Idi-Ishin NIHORT road, students and civil servants were forced to take alternative routes as a result of the overflow of water at the NIHORT bridge
