Oyo state Christain pilgrims who were on pilgrimage to Israel have arrived Ibadan, the state capital at about 8 O’clock on Tuesday.

The pilgrims cladded in beautiful Ankara fabric with touch of Oyo state colours were full of gratitude to God for their safe return after a 9-day pilgrimage to Israel.

Newsarena.ng gathered that the trip which was scheduled to last for 10 days was affected by the security concerns in Israel.


This followed the ongoing attacks on Iran by United States and Israel as well as a reprisal attacks on the Israeli soil.

One of the Oyo state pilgrim, Mrs Omotunde Kehinde who described the journey as fruitful and an opportunity to perform spiritual exercises and prayers for families, the state and Nation on an holy land said the growing security threat in Israel at the moment was a major concern.
She said sound of explosion rented the air in one of the visits to Nazareth.

Mrs Kehinde commended the federal and Oyo state government for the proper handling of the pilgrimage.
Others who spoke with newsarena.ng explained that the trip afforded them the opportunity to visit landmark sites recorded in the bible.

Newsarena.ng gathered that the Oyo state pilgrims visited Nazareth, Jordan, Jerusalem and Blethem.
