PHOTOS: Oyo Reps’ Member, Anthony Adepoju “Ibarapa Kan” Commissions Solar Powered Borehole In Constituency

Residents of Igbonla village could not hide their happiness on Thursday 20 December,2024 when Hon. (Dr) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, Member Representing Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency and Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Federal Character commissioned a motorized borehole he constructed and installed.
Speaking during the commissioning, Hon Adepoju, represented by the Vice Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government who also doubles as Political Head of Ibarapa North-West Local Council Development Area, Igangan, Hon. Bisi Akande, described the donor as an angel sent to cushion the suffering of Ibarapa Central/North constituents.
He commended Gov Seyi Makinde for putting the right peg into the right hole by given support to the philanthropist, Hon. Anthony Adepoju to represent the constituency at the National Assembly.
Hon. Akande, however, tasked the people of Igbonla village to sustain their cooperation with the present administration in Oyo State.
He used the occasion to appreciate the Oyo State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Ademola Ojo; Hon. Peter Gbadegesin Ojedokun (P.G), Member Representing Ibarapa Central/North Oyo State House of Assembly; Executive Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government, Hon. Lateef Akorede; PDP leaders and loyalists in the constituency.
Also speaking, a leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Azeez Saminu popularly called “Ohio” described Hon. (Dr) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju as a gem of inestimable value, a trustworthy, dependable and consummate politician.
He pointed out that Hon. Anthony Adebayo Adepoju always fulfils any promise made to everyone. He called on the residents of Igbonla village to give the donor (Hon. Anthony Adepoju) more support beyond 2027 so as to enjoy more democratic dividends.
Responding, one of the residents, Mr Egbebiyi Alabi eulogized Hon. Anthony Adepoju for fulfilling his electioneering campaign to the village. He promised, on behalf of all residents in the area to redouble their support for the donor so that he could continue to provide succour to the constituents beyond 2027.
Hon. Bisi Akande also led the mammoth crowd to pay homage to the residence of Jagun/regent of Asunnara, Chief Idowu Aderounmu.
While addressing the visitors, Chief Idowu Aderounmu said he had not seen a politician who is reliable and passionate like Hon.(Dr) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju and pledged on behalf of the town’s dwellers for Hon. Anthony Adepoju in the subsequent elections.
Jagun of Asunnara therefore appealed to Ibarapa North Local Government led by Hon. Lateef Akorede and Bisi Akande to grade the road from Igangan town to Asunnara and its environs.
