Oyo state government through the primary health care board has begun the distribution of generating set to newly renovated primary health centres in the state.
The symbolic presentation of the first phase distribution of the generating set to some local governments was held at the state secretariate, Agodi Ibadan.
Executive Secretary, Oyo State Primary Healthcare Board, Dr. Muideen Olatunji, said ninety eight pieces were purchased for the first beneficiaries.
Dr Olatunji said out of the 351 primary health centres newly renovated by the Seyi Makinde’s administration 206 PHCs have been fully completed.
He said the project was executed to ensure quality health service delivery at the centres and to serve as backup to solar energy and regular electricity provided by the state in the PHCs
