PHOTOS: Ibarapa East Residents Benefit From Free Omituntun Health Mission

Residents of Ibarapa East Local Government of Oyo State have benefitted from a free medical outreach organized by the Omituntun free health mission, an initiative of Oyo State Government under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde.

The exercise which has been ongoing for weeks in Ibadan, Oyo state capital will hopefully bridge the gap in the healthcare delivery in Ibarapa East with over one thousand residents at the grassroots benefitting from the initiative.

Newsarena.ng reports that, New Eruwa Maternity Centre, venue of the exercise witnessed a crowd of beneficiaries who were treated from one ailment to another.

The medical experts led by Dr. Adekunle Aremu sensitized beneficiaries on the importance of drinking enough water, consumption of fresh vegetables and eating of fruits. These according to medical personnel were antidotes to diseases.

While addressing the beneficiaries, the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa East Local Government, Hon. Kazeem Arogundade commended Governor Seyi Makinde for creating such avenue for the grassroots to have access to free medical treatment.

The council boss encouraged all the beneficiaries to take their drugs as prescribed by the medical experts, adding that “Health is wealth.”

Also speaking, Mr. John Ojelabi who benefited from the gesture commended Oyo State Government for the initiative and appealed to Gov. Seyi Makinde to remember Ibarapa zone in other dividends of democracy from time to time.

The free medical treatment include; Surgery; malaria treatment; coughing; high blood pressure; high blood sugar; eye test; x-ray and many others.
