PHOTOS: Ibarapa East LG Chair, Hon. Arogundade Swears-In Five Newly Appointed Supervisors, Two S.As

The Executive Chairman of Ibarapa East Local Government, Hon. Kazeem Owolabi Arogundade on Tuesday 31 December, 2024 sworn in five Supervisors and two Special Assistants.

The Supervisors are; Hon. Biodun Jamiu Bello; Hon (Mrs) Abegunde Nusirat Kofoworola; Hon. Adelowo Michael Adeola;Hon. Prince Hakeem Bolanle Olagoke and Hon. Sunday Olaniyi. Others are Special Assistants which include;Hon. Adesope Gbemileke and Hon Sunday Fadipe.

Speaking at the colourful event which took place at the Legislative Hall of the council, Hon. Arogundade congratulated the newly sworn-in Supervisors and Special Assistants on their appointment and charged them to see the position as a call to serve humanity.

The council chairman further stressed that they should use their respective positions for the betterment of Ibarapa East residents and more importantly, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

The local government boss declared that all the newly appointees were picked by merit, adding that though not all of them are members of PDP but they all worked for the victory of the party both at general and local government elections.

Hon. Arogundade, while Congratulating the good people of Ibarapa East Local Government on yuletide celebration,he assured them an appreciable level of performance from January,2025.

He made it known that his administration had cleared the drainages to allow free flow of erosion. He attributed the erosion as major cause of road damage when its channels are being blocked. He also made mention of some boreholes which his administration has repaired and digged.

Arogundade also promised that Governor Seyi Makinde had promised to do asphalt tarring of road from New-Eruwa to Idi-Ope including the damaged portion of Ipin river, saying work would commence on the project by January,2025.He also made reference to the damaged culvert along Odo-Baba Ode area of Eruwa that work would begin on it in January,2025 as well.

In his own contribution, Head of Local Government Administration ( HLGA) of Ibarapa East Local Government, Pastor Sunday Idowu Adegoke, while Congratulating the newly swore-in Supervisors and Special Assistants,he advised them to sustain peaceful co-existence which the council had been witnessing since the inception of the present government led by Hon. Kazeem Owolabi Arogundade. The anointed man of God described the present administration in Oyo State as unique and unprecedented in the history of democratic dispensation. He preached love and unity among the newly appointees to the first man of Ibarapa East Local Government,Hon. Kazeem Owolabi Arogundade.

He, however,prayed that their appointment as Supervisors and Special Assistants would be a tip of iceberg among many good things that await them.

In his word of appreciation,Hon. Adelowo Michael Adeola appreciated the Chairman of Ibarapa East Local Government,Hon. Kazeem Owolabi Arogundade and promised on behalf of other appointees to collaborate with the local government authority so that Ibarapa East would be one of the best among 774 councils in Nigeria.

In her closing remark,the Leader of the House,Hon.(Mrs) Rachael Azeez Oyenike encouraged the newly swore-in Supervisors and Special Assistants to see the wellbeing of Ibarapa East residents as priority. She used the medium to advise people to celebrate the yuletide modestly.

Present at the event are; Political Head of Ibarapa North- East Local Council Development Area (LCDA),Lanlate,Hon. Jacob Olakunle Olalowo; Secretary to the council,Evang. Dele Olaito; the Assistant Secretary;Councillors;PDP leaders and loyalists and others.
