PDP Sets Up 24-Member Appeal Panel For Osun Governorship Primary

The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party has appointed a 24-member Governorship Primary Appeal Panel to consider petitions arising from the Osun State governorship primary ahead of the 2026 election.

PUNCH Online had reported that Adebayo Adedamola emerged as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for the Osun 2026 election, in absence of Ademola Adeleke, who just defected.

Adedamola polled 919 votes out of 957 cast in the primary held in Osogbo, the state capital.

The announcement was made in a statement issued on Monday by the National Organising Secretary, Theophilus Shan.

According to the party, the appeal sitting will hold on Thursday, 11 December 2025, at the Bauchi Governor’s Lodge, Tatari Ali House, behind the ECOWAS Secretariat, Asokoro District, Abuja, with proceedings scheduled for 11am.
