A middle aged woman, yet to be identified, has been killed in Osogbo, Osun state by suspected ritualists.
The woman, said to have been homeless for some months in the area was dragged into the back of some shops directly opposite Osogbo Local Government Secretariat where she was beheaded.
The assailants also cut off her two hands and left her remains at the vacant land in the area.
The discovery of her mutilated body on Tuesday morning by some shop owners in the area has caused fear and panic among residents of the area.
Some of the traders and shop owners in the vicinity refused to open their shops for business, for fear of being arrested by the law enforcement agents.
A resident of the area, who did not want his name mentioned said the victim had been homeless for some months and had been sleeping beside the road in the area begging for alms from passers- by
He added that suspected ritualists would have carried out the dastardly act.
